FRI AUGUST 1 1:45PM CLEVELAND. WE HAD YESTERDAY OFF...DIDNT OPEN THE CURTAINS ALL DAY. WERE LEAVING TO GO TO PLAY AT WMMS IN AN HOUR ON THE AIR. THEY FUCKIN ROCK..GREAT STATION. THEY ALSO JAM 58 ALOT TOO.... THEN OFF TO THE GIG,WE STAY HERE TONIGHT.SO ILL GET ANOTHER GOOD NIGHTS SLEEP IN A BED. I GOT A FUCKING COLD. TALKED TO MIKE CLINK,WERE BOOKING TIME TO GO INTO THE STUDIO AN MIXED*NOBODY KNOWS WHAT ITS LIKE TO BE LONELY* TO STICK IN THE FIRST RUN OF THE BOOKS FOR FREE.IF YOU DONT KNOW,ITS A LOST TRACK THAT WE RECORDED BEFORE WE PUT OUT OUR FIRST ALBUM.I DONT THINK ANYBODY HAS EVER HEARD THIS BEFORE. 3 MORE SHOWS... FLY HOME MONDAY...

fri night sat morning 130 am had a blast at wmms today,those fuckers rock so hard. we played 3 songs live on air..and had 100 listeners there... tonight after the show i heard *piece of candy*,that was too cool. it was a great crowd tonight,very drunk,very rowdy,very cleveland.....as ian hunter said once, cleveland rocks.. i dedicated *knockem dead kid* to the la(fucking)pd.. that was fun......(until i get home haha) this cold is kicking my ass..... g'night.

SAT MORNING 8 AM CLEVELAND OHIO.... YOU WAKE UP TOO EARLY TO THE SOUND OF SOMEONE HAVING SEX IN THE ROOM NEXT DOOR TO YOU AND ROLLOVER TO NOTICES THERE'S BLOOD AND MAKE-UP SMEARED ON YOUR PILLOW AND WONDER WHAT THE HELL THE DAY HAS INSTORE FOR YOU. YOU ROLL OVER AGAIN AND REACH FOR THE 59 LES PAUL COPY THAT WAS HAND MADE FOR YOU FROM MAX AND WONDER HOW MANY PEOPLE IN JAPAN REALLY PAID 75,000.00 DOLLARS FOR ONE, THINKNG IT WAS THE REAL DEAL…THERE STILL AT IT IN THE OTHER ROOM, SO I STRUM SOME CHORDS AND TOGETHER WE MAKE SOME KINDA OF SONG THAT SOUNDS LIKE A SAD PORNO PLAYING FROM THE T V. THE GUITAR IS COLD AGAINST MY NAKED BODY SO I THROW IT TO THE END OF THE BED AND DEBATE WITH MYSELF BETWEEN MASTURBATING AND PJ HARVEY(AFTER ALL A MAN CAN ONLY TAKE SOOO MUCH). I CHOOSE NEITHER…MY BODIES TO TIRED TO CUM AND MY EARS ARE STILL RINGING FROM LAST NIGHTS SHOW.THEY FINALLY STOPPED NEXT DOOR, SO,NOW IM BORED…TOO EARLY TO CALL HOME, SO NOW WHAT?
I TAKE A BITE OUT OF THE PIZZA THAT SAT OUT ALL NIGHT ON THE FLOOR AND THINK HOW MICK WOULD TELL ME NOT TO EAT THAT.MICKS ALWAYS FULL OF THESE SNIPPETS OF INFORMATION ON AIRBORNE HOTEL DISEASE'S AND SUCH.I JUST DON'T CARE, I FIGURE IF I AIN'T DEAD NOW, PICKING UP MY GUM (OR WHATEVER) THAT DROPPED TO THE FLOOR AND PLOPPING IT BACK IN MY MOUTH AINT GONNA KILL ME NOW.
SO I LIGHT A CANDLE AND SOME NAG CHAMPA,REACH BACK FOR THE GUITAR AND MAYBE IF I PLAY…THEY'LL START FUCKING NEXT DOOR AGAIN…ANYTHING IS BETTER THAN DAYTIME TV…

Sat night, Sunday morning 2 am Columbus Ohio
We did the show and SAID OUR FAIR WELLS TO MEGADETH; it was their last show with us, we play one money gig alone in VAN WERT and then its over for this leg. AL PITRELLI (LEAD GUITAR) and DAVE ELLEFSON(BASS) I really like allot from megedeth. The whole band was great to tour with, but al and Dave I saw the most...it was a great summer.... Thanks guys for touring with us.it was *HEAVY*. This hotel has to have the coldest vibe ive ever been in,its like a morgue crossed with a cafaterria.its stone cold entry start you off on the wrong foot and then up to you comes a 80 year old bellboy and your heading towards UN Pleasantville at 120 mph.better to jump into the elevator an try not to socialize with the in-breeding here..... It might be airborne after all. My room isn't much better but the pill I digested makes it feel fuzzy and I cant complain cause I'm alone...and I refuse to talk to myself.i always lose the arguement.i left my book in the bus...and i cannot bear going down the elevator shaft to revisit the lobby of the living dead yuppies.so ill talk to you, oh how interesting we are? What else can i bitch and moan about? (Like you give a fuck)
Here's what I fucking think...
Ive been driving motley hard for too many years...its time to pull back and smell the roses in the garden....and smell the life in front of me..... Im heading to total burn out...so this break is needed.like a junkie needs a fix...i need a fix of nothing.... A fix of silence... But ALL IS NOT QUEIT YET...there is one more show... After a few months off from touring we will crank up the motors and start the machine creeping forward again, headed towards Japan and Australia...major shows for the band. Then I will enjoy the birth of my daughter with my wife in Dec ............................................................................................................ And then in Feb. we go back to being road warriors...ready to slay and disobey.... Ready to follow through on promises of rock n roll. We all had a kick ass summer tour... Thank you for letting me share my days, nights, loves and fights with you in my diary. You're the blood in my veins.... 'Sixx

FRIDAY SEPT 8 LA CALIF IVE BEEN HOME 4 DAYS NOW. FIRST FEW DAYS I WAS IN A DEEP POST TOUR DEPRESSION.IT HAPPENS ALL THE TIME,BUT I HADN'T FELT LIKE THIS IN A LONG TIME.I THINK THE FACT THAT WE RAN EVERYDAY INTO THE NEXT FOR MONTHS AND MONTHS, RIGHT INTO THE TOUR AND THEN BEING PLOPPED DOWN INTO REALITY OF HOME AGAIN IS A SHOCK TO THE SYSTEM. YOU FIND YOURSELF MISSING THE CHEMISTRY AND MAGIC OF THE BAND,THE CREW..THE LIL LIFESTYLE IMPERFECTIONS THAT CAN ONLY BE APPRECIATED WHEN YOUR STUCK IN A STEEL TUBE ON WHEELS GOING DOWN THE HIGHWAY NIGHT AFTER NIGHT. IT CAN BE SUMMED UP BOTH AS A COMMUNITY AND AS A WAY OF SURVIVAL.
IVE NOW SETTLED IN,OF COURSE THE FLIPSIDE IS HOW MUCH LOVE IS WAITING HERE FOR YOU...ALL THE KISSES AND HUGS FROM THE CHILDREN AND DONNA. I CANT BELIEVE HOW DONNA HAS HELD THIS HOUSE TOGETHER ,ALL ALONE WHILE IVE BEEN OFF ON MY HIJINX ROCK N ROLL ADVENTURES...AND THAT'S AN AWARD THAT NEEDS TO BE GIVEN OUT . THANK YOU BABY.
SO,THE KIDS ARE BACK TO SCHOOL AND LIFE IS BECOMING CLEAR TO WHAT IS AND WHAT IS NOT. I KNEW I COULDNT STOP ALTOGETHER,JAMES IS ON HIS WAY OVER TO MEET WITH ME.WERE WRITING A COUPLE OF TRACKS FOR MEAT LOAFS ALBUM.I THINK THERE IS A HEARTSTRING THAT MAY BE PLUCKED IN BOTH OF US RIGHT NOW.WERE GONNA WRITE THIS BEAUTIFUL LOVE SONG FOR MEAT,OF COURSE THERE WILL BE A TWISTED FATE IN THE END,BUT ISNT THAT LIFE AND LOVE AND ALL THATS IN-BETWEEN?? 530 pm we wrote the skeleton of the song.i think its gonna be a heartbreaker indeed. its a ballad in the epic sense.i spoke to meat and told him were demoing it this next week. id like to get pearl (his daughter and one half of the motley crue sluts) to come sing on it with james and me. i enjoy writing with james so much.we click on music and concepts so quick.it just flows. hes one of the most talented guys ive worked with and i think his career is going to be huge. now not to be a salesman,but when you like something you feel the need to spread it around (like a desease). so>>>>>his album comes out soon...its called

home sweet home
end of a day as i know it.
i sit here with the window wide open. the distant sound of crickets purring in my ears remind of being a kid in idaho. my 64 fiebird sits next to me on the floor.when it was made i was 6 years old.something in that has emence value to me.not in price, but in time.. allot of things (sounds,smells,sights etc) reminds me of being a kid.
i dont think we ever really get over that...
when were young all we wish for is to be grown up and to be on our own. and then when we finally get there (here),we wanna go back. go back to the simple reality of not knowing that we dont know anything at all. maybe we never left that time of our lives.
after all we can still skip the rock in the pond.
you can still relive that feeling you had when got your first crush.
you can still stand in the rain and not care.
ya,today is over...but tomorrow hasnt even opened its eyes to the possibilities of life yet. there is so much we really want to do and say...
but dont blink,dont even think about it too long....
cause it will pass you by.

monday sept 18 846 pm
Ive been home from the max rock tour for two weeks now.It took me awhile to decompress and my body to understand that 9:15 didn't mean going on-stage an breaking stuff,it meant the day is almost over (or at least coming to and end).On the road,your day starts at sundown and goes until sunrise..its the exact opposite off the road.. Today i went to James studio and worked on*MAN OF STEEL* for Meatloafs album.Im going back in the morning to work on it somemore.At around 3 or 4 im meeting mick in the valley.Hes redoing and adding guitar on "hollywood ending".weds Vince will re-sing it and were adding strings.(very beatlesque).i dont know what were gonna do with it yet,but we think it needs a facelift if its gonna go out for a movie or single someday.we also have to mix *nobody knows what its like to be lonely* to put in The Dirt (our book) going to A E S convention this weekend and take donna to watch a dodger game next week. Elastica is playing here this week in L.A.,i love this band,but i dont think theres time to go see them..too bad..there first album is one of my fav's. im really loving this new *Queens of the stoneage*
and would love to get p j harvey on the next 58 album.

Today i was going about 95 on the 101 freeway when i looked behind me and there was a motorcycle cop.well,since i just got my license back,i kinda freaked..he pulled up next to me...looked in the ferrari window and gave me a thumbs up..he then took off..i followed him at 110 for about 10 miles...thinking..... you know,i could get used to this being a rockstar bullshit..haha

everyone ones asleep but me,ive been down in my studio trying to get it all back together from when we recorded (new tattoo).me and james michael went to the a e s convention downtown today.lots of gear,but what really floated are boats were the plugins and equipment that interface with pro tools. were on a songwriting binge again.....looks like we might be producing some acts as well.(together and seperate) there is an offer out to tour europe next year with alice cooper and a cool opener...that parts a must....no cheese please. i would love someone like>>i.e. queens of the stoneage(love this band)
or someone on that level that would kick our ass.
i also love the donnas and powerman 5000..so we will see..
you asked about our book.it will come out april 2001.it will also have a single shipped to radio to tie it in....bla bla..like you fucking care.... speaking of reading,ive been reading*diary of a rock n roll star* by ian hunter(mott the hoople). a must find,thanks deb 58 is picking up sales......it so underbelly,it makes me proud...but there will come a time to pull the trigger..... remember (core is poor)

Motley Crue annouced today that Hole Drummer Samantha Maloney will continue handling drumming responsibilities for the Crue on their November "New Tattoo" Japanese/Australian Tour. Maloney was universally well received by fans & critics alike during this summer's North American "Maximum Rock" Tour, filling in for Crue drummer Randy Castillo as he recovered from stomach surgery. As previously reported, Randy Castillo will take the remainder of 2000 off for health reasons and will re-join the band in 2001.
