Sat night,Oct 14..2000
The last few weeks have been very creative.Me and James Michael finished a big epic song for MEAT LOAF.He called and was completely blown away.Its always alittle weird writing for other artists, you really try to capture what there about, but you never know until they react.Were gonna produce it in Jan. here in La.
Also on the producing side.I"ll be going in the studio to produce(1 song) for an artist from England (on Columbia) called OVERSEER. He is very fat boy slim or prodigyish..Im taking MEEGS and DEZ from Coal Chamber into help make it a pissed off angry monster. It"s gonna be a blast for me to cut completely loose in this style of music.Its really exciting to be working with the guys from Coal Chamber …I dig there stuff…
Monday is pre production for OVERSEER.
Tuesday ,finishing a song with James for Deanna Carter
Weds I'm off to New York for the CMJ convention.
Gonna go see limp bizkit in New York and a bunch of new bands…
Be home Saturday…
Next week got studio time booked for OVERSEER ( Coal Chamber)

oct 18 2000 new york city
just checked in,waiting to go out for a bite to eat..and go see halford at the roseland. im meeting with the publisher of the book to finalize the art in the morning and then its music panals all day here at c m j. the donnas (great name) are playing fri..and im hoping to see pj harvey tomorrow,,, ill keep ya in the loop....
oct 19 new york. went out to doc holidays last night.meet up with some friends and talked about music into the wee hours..((we all gotta love tommy bolin)).this morning came early with the meetings and smoozing.just got back from a radio and internet confrence.ive meet a few of our street teamers here in new york..there some of my fav peeps.they remind me of me as a kid...just in love with music.. passion is 100%

im off to see *pj harvey*((love her music)),then *disturbed* at another place and finally *the donnas* at midnight... i chatted with brett((singer from the donnas)) and hinted that id like to jam...we will see...... i start the overseer project on thursday...so ill have a day or so to recover from this crazy city... missing my wife and partner in crime...but she is just tooooo pregnant to be out in this madness... sixx

pj harvey was amazing in her quirky demented songtress way...i want to do a duet with her in 58.. downset..pure raw energy..love them
soulfly was heavy with a primal edge..but the sound was messy.
glassjaw was in-fuckin sane..this bands gonna blow up big time...id love to produce some of there stuff.. disturbed was average..
tons of pixx with all kinds of bands and peeps...
im off to sleep...gonna go listen to chuck d in the morning on a panel...(very smart man)

Oct. 20th 2000 we've been listening to speakers all day on panel after panel.
my eyes are red and my ears are burning,but there no time to slow.
i passed on leaving the city to go see
Limp.There's a spin party at C B G B's and then i wanna check out somemore of the hard bands playing around town. There is some great new hard rock bands coming up.they were all very influenced by Motley,Guns etc etc....i guess you could call it era music... Motley is getting ready to go back on tour,these new bands show me how far weve come and how good we are... there are things brand new bands have that bands like AEROSMITH, CRUE,KISS etc. DON'T....then there are things we have that they can only get by being hot on the button long enough... IN THE END ITS CALLED A CAREER..
YOU EITHER HAVE IT OR YOU DONT..

THERE WERE A COUPLE OF GREAT BANDS THERE TONIGHT...I HUNG WITH *CREEPING LAGOON*,WE TALKED ABOUT BAD BRAINS AND MC5..AND HOW COOL AEROSMITH WAS IN THE MIDDLE 70'S THEN WENT TO SEE*AT THE DRIVE-IN*
NEW BAND,LOTS OF ENERGY ETC ETC ....BLA BLA.. THEN WE WENT TO SOME WEIRD CHINNESE PLACE....AND FINALLY TO SOME CLUB TO SEE THE **SWINGING LOVEHAMMERS**... ANOTHER NEW BAND TO KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN FOR.. JEN FROM ROADRUNNER WAS GREAT TO US....
OK,IM FUCKING TIRED...

Oct. 27 Fri.
Ive been in the studio producing the overseer music with meegs and dez from coal chamber.There both sick and vince is sick too.(flu)
Vinnies has been trying to get in the studio to re-sing Hollywood ending ((were adding all kinds of ear candy for the single)).I hope he gets it before we leave for japan,the idea is for it to be given away for free with the book in april.
Were bummed,we had to cancel australia due to low ticket sales.I feel bad for the aussie fans....we hope to make it up.
Its all about hills and valleys.  Haven't dealt much with motley in the last month (i took a little break from band ),but now i really look forward to breaking out the songs and the band for japan.
